Thanks for taking the time out of your day to learn a little about me! It’s quite obvious I have an incredible amount of passion for photography; I honestly thank my lucky stars every day that I can call this my job. They say “do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” – too right. To be able to pick up a camera and bring joy to people astounds me, and I am just so grateful to be at this stage in my life. Aside from my love of photography, the other loves that fill my life is my husband of 6.5 years and our son Silas who is 2.5 and Emmett who is just born in September 2015! Their bright smiles every morning encourages me to wake up and get started with my day. I don’t separate work from family so if you’re lucky you might meet them in your sessions! 2014 brought me so much growth and happiness I wonder how 2015 will manage to out-do it, but I cannot wait to shoot like a mad woman all year! Throughout this whole journey my husband encouraged me to never give up as some days were more a challenge than others. But I’m here now 3 years later doing what I love most and getting rewarded for it. Even after years of practice and hard work, photography is an industry that never stops growing, so I never stop learning … and keep looking forward to more workshops and learning curves in the future. *** In January 2010, Samantha decided to become more professional with her hobbies and took a course through The Photography Institute and received her diploma in July 2011. And in January 2012, she officially opened up her own business called “Lavender Love Photography”. Samantha has also invested in mentoring with Melbourne photographer Lorna Kirkby Photography.
